Arts and Sciences

The guiding principle that leads our initiatives in this area is the awareness that the union of arts, sciences and technologies brought about the highest periods of Western culture and is therefore one of the most fertile terrains that holds the promise to imagine and shape the future.

The next exhibition of the Arts and Sciences Center will take place in autumn 2019

From 2010 to 2017 Fondazione Golinelli created a program of exhibitions that investigated the great themes of life: the modification of living organisms, our relationship with technology, changes in the stages of human life, the required mental resources for the workplace of tomorrow, the science of taste, human freedom, the unpredictability of the future.

The exhibitions have been curated scientifically by Giovanni Carrada and artistically by Cristiana Perrella, until 2017. The curatorial act, in this light, comprises the idea that the combination of the arts and sciences is the best way to stimulate intelligent curiosity towards the world and ourselves, which is essential for the development of the new generations.

Both the arts and the sciences are, in fact, ways to go beyond the immediate reality: art requires more than a simple glance, because it teaches us how to see, as how science finds explanations that almost always contradict common sense, opening up perspectives that we would never have imagined.

From 2010 to today, the exhibitions held by Fondazione Golinelli have received over 130,000 visitors.

Research through Art and Science

The course includes an informative segment, open to the public, and private seminars for scholars and researchers.

The cycle of appointments was inaugurated by Pierre Lévy, along with Adriano Fabris, on the 21st and 22nd of May 2018.

On the 25th and 26th of June 2018 Alvaro De Rujula, along with Sergio Bertolucci, opened the dialogue on "The Narration of the Cosmos", while on the 17th and 18th of September 2018 we hosted Lamberto Maffei, in dialogue with Andrea Bonaccorsi on "Perception, Art, Time".

Entrepreneurship in Humanities

A pathway to excellence, aimed at supporting humanities scholars in identifying new entrepreneurial opportunities, fostering the acquisition of interdisciplinary skills between human sciences, sociological, technological and economic disciplines, communication and marketing sciences.

In October 2017 the Golinelli Arts and Sciences Center was inaugurated, facing Opificio Golinelli, a center for research, imagination and experimentation.

The guiding principle that leads our initiatives in this area is the awareness that the union of arts, sciences and technologies brought about the highest periods of Western culture and is therefore one of the most fertile terrains that holds the promise to imagine and shape the future, and to stimulate creative forms of entrepreneurship in the life sciences sector.

The Center also aims to create a contagious synergy, with its activities and the other areas of Fondazione Golinelli dedicated to education, professional development and entrepreneurship.

Its creation is framed by the multiannual development program Opus 2065, aimed at supporting the younger generations in their paths of growth, starting from the idea that education and culture are the pillars for the future of our society.

The engagement team, chaired and coordinated by Andrea Zanotti, is composed of the following members: Andrea Bonaccorsi, Luca De Biase, Adriano Fabris, Marcello Veneziani.
