FROM THE FIRST TEACHERS NETWORK TO THE NEW E-LEARNING PLATFORM: THE GROWTH OF THE CLIMADEMY ITALIAN HUB

Since the launch at the end of June 2022 of the European project for the establishment of the CLIMAte change teachers' acaDEMY (CLIMADEMY) - (here you can find the brand new website) - Fondazione Golinelli, together with the research group in teaching and history of physics of the University of Bologna have worked on the creation of a network of professors and schools in Emilia Romagna.
12 teachers have been involved in the process, representing several schools from the region: Liceo Scientifico e Musicale "A. Einstein" (Rimini); Scuola delle Idee (Bologna); Istituto Tecnico Agrario Chimico Scarabelli Ghini (Imola); Liceo Leonardo da Vinci (Casalecchio di Reno); Istituto di Istruzione Superiore "Baracca" (Forlì).

Another important milestone for the Italian Hub has been the opening of the Italian section of CLAUDI, the project's e-learning platform which, in addition to allowing access to educational and training contents in English, will allow teachers from Italy to attend online courses, and learn about teaching and training resources in their native language. They will also be able, through the platform, to get in touch with other colleagues from all over the country and all over Europe interested in developing activities in their own schools.

After the presentation during the european event Uniser Teacher Week a new series of initiatives have been scheduled for the Italian Hub community:
New events for the Italian community of Climademy
18 september, starting from 3pm, a launch webinar for the Italian Hub and the presentation of the activities and programs for the 2023-2024;
9, 10, 11 november, at Opificio Golinelli, the first residential training course in Bologna.
