CLIM@SCHOOL: SCHOOL AND EDUCATION IN THE AGE OF CLIMATE CRISIS

Clim@school: school and education in the age of climate crisis (in Italian Clim@scuola: la scuola e l'educazione al tempo della crisi climatica) is an event for those who wish to rethink the role of schools and educational institutions in the era of climate crisis. On the occasion of the conclusion of the European project Climademy – The Teacher Academy on Climate Change, this will be a chance for dialogue between today’s and tomorrow’s educators, alongside experts, scientists, and science communicators, to chart new paths in climate education.

Creating a dialogue between researchers, science communicators, and teachers who bring knowledge into classrooms every day is essential to building effective climate change education. Teachers need up-to-date tools, researchers need schools open to new knowledge, and communicators need an increasingly informed audience. This event aims to be the space where these voices meet, share ideas, and build a solid network.

The morning, reserved for teachers, will be dedicated to sharing and discussing the work done within Climademy and disseminating its results to educators and school leaders. Teachers and researchers will present experiences, methodologies, and activities designed to bring climate change into the classroom in effective and engaging ways. A moment to reflect together on what works, what can be improved, and how to make these tools increasingly accessible.

The afternoon, open to all, will feature contributions from scientists and communicators through inspirational lectures and practical case studies, discussing the climate crisis and sharing ideas, examples, and strategies to help educate informed and active citizens.
